Futures thinking has finally arrived and found a beautiful, vibrant and generous home in Philippine Futures Thinking Society.
As the first and only professional futurists and foresight practitioners organization in the country and the Asia Pacific region, we continue to create cutting edge, transformative, customized and open-source events and opportunities for our individual and institutional members to grow their careers as foresight practitioners and scholars and build institutional and organizational capacities and competencies to use futures to innovate and change today.
Philfutures have organized and participated in multiple global and local events and initiatives that advance professional foresight practice and scholarship. Today, Philfutures is an institutional member of the Association of Professional Futurists and the World Futures Studies Federation, hosted the Millennium Project Node in the Philippines and has organized the 6th Asia Pacific Futures Network that was attended by 700 people from different parts of the country and the world last year.
Our members and partners have been invited to major global foresight and transformative events and we have partnered with the best foresight networks, institutes and consulting companies around the world like The Futures School, The School of International Futures, UNESCO, Center for Engaged Foresight, MetaFutures, The Graduate Institute of Futures Studies Taiwan, The University of Sunshine Coast Australia to name a few. We have partnered as well with top think tanks like the Asian Development Bank, the East West Center Leadership Academy, among others. A year after Philfutures was founded, we celebrated and organized one of the biggest futures and foresight global events in our Fiesta of Imagination gathering. These among others are testament to our dedication and commitment to promote and advance professional foresight practice and ignite the Filipino Hiraya through the power of foresight.
